Meet Jade, our practice manager!  She is originally from Wild & Wonder West Virginia. Jade joined the AngelCare team in 2020, and she has 12 years of experience in veterinary medicine.  Jade has a BA in Chemistry and a Master’s in Business Administration.  Her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is loving on and talking to our furry friends during their visits.  She has one orange Tabby Cat named Claire.  Outside of work, Jade enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, and caring for her four-year-old son, Brecken. A fun fact about Jade is that she loves taking country drives.

Meet Kelly, AngelCare's Patient Care Coordinator!  Kelly joined the AngelCare team in 2019.  Kelly has 20+ years of veterinary medicine experience, and she loves phlebotomy.  Kelly’s favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is helping animals. She has a variety of pets at home- 3 dogs, Tater Tot (a beagle) and Max & Leo (both German Shepherds); 6 cats; a snake; a bearded dragon; and ducks. Kelly has two two-legged children at home as well. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys anything outside, her Jeep and kayaking. A fun fact about Kelly is that she loves heavy metal music and backpacking with her husband.

Meet Erin, our very own “Jill of All Trades!” Erin is one of our talented veterinary assistants. She is originally from Macedon, in upstate New York, and currently resides in Newton, NC with Lance, her husband, and her daughter, 7-year-old Lyric.  Erin has special training in Shelter Pet Enrichment and Shelter Behavioral/Temperament Testing.  She has four years of experience in Shelter Medicine and fifteen years of experience in private practice.  Erin’s favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is educating clients and giving our clients & patients the best care possible. She has Molly- a 13-year-old Tripod, Trixie- an 10-year-old Brown Tabby Cat, and 17 chickens. Outside of work, Erin enjoys gardening, having coffee with her chickens, corny “Dad Jokes,” fishing, swimming, and craft beer.  A fun fact about Erin is that she has backpacked across Alaska for a month & that she was the Axe Throw State Champion for three years in college!

Meet Taylor, one of AngelCare’s caring veterinary assistants!  He is originally from Wilkes County, NC. Taylor joined the AngelCare team in 2020. Taylor holds an Associate Degree in Animal Science. He has been in the veterinary field for 10 years. Taylor’s favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is working with the clients and getting to know their pets. Taylor has one dog, Trixi; one Chinchilla named Chinchin; and he has one donkey named Cutiepie and one named Sassy who was born in 2024. Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending time with his family and spending time at the beach.  A fun fact about Taylor is that he is a huge history nerd, and that all his co-workers say he needs to go on a gameshow. Ask Taylor anything about the British Monarchy especially in the Medieval period from 1066 to the 1600’s and the Tudor period from Henry the 8th to Elizabeth I! 

Meet Alex, one of AngelCare’s skilled veterinary assistants!  Alex joined the AngelCare team in 2020, and during her time at AngelCare she has completed an Associate’s Degree in Agriculture Business. In the past, Alex worked at a therapeutic horseback riding center. Alex’s favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is helping animals and learning more about veterinary medicine. She has one Belgian Malinois named Hershey!  Outside of work, Alex enjoys off-roading, hanging out with friends, and traveling.  A fun fact about Alex is that she loves Texas Longhorn Cattle!

Meet Heidi, one of AngelCare’s diligent veterinary assistants! She is originally from Barnard, Vermont.  Heidi joined the AngelCare team in August 2022, and she has 5+ years of veterinary experience. She has an educational background in business management. Heidi’s favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is the precious Babies! She has four pets- three dogs- Moose, a pitt bull; Kita, a shepherd/husky mix; CC, a husky/lab mix; and one cat- Rowdy.  Outside of work, Heidi enjoys gardening, music, and exploring with her family. A fun fact about Heidi is that she loves to sing! 

Meet Kristi, one of our compassionate veterinary receptionists! She is originally from Mooresville, NC.  Kristi joined the AngelCare team in March of 2023 and has 12 years of experience in small and large animal medicine. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from North Carolina State University. Her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is experiencing the bond between pets and their owners. She has 2 chihuahua mixes- Rocky and Clover; a torti cat named Marmalade, and 3 horses, Ms. T, Sugar, and Sterling. Outside of work, Kristi enjoys spending time with her horses and baking.  A fun fact about Kristi is she enjoys taking photos in her free time!

Meet Brittany, one of our caring veterinary receptionists!  She is originally from Charlotte, NC.  Brittany joined the AngelCare team in June of 2023. She has 8+ years of experience in the animal care field. Her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is caring for pets and helping them get the care they need. She has three fur babies, Prada, a chihuahua; Felix, an American Curl; and Freddy, an orange tabby.  Outside of work, Brittany enjoys gardening, caring for her chickens, concerts & social events.  A fun fact about Brittany is that she has a “green thumb” and is a “Saver of Plants!”
