Surgery

Our doctors perform routine and emergency surgical procedures.  We provide spays, neuters, mass removals, fracture repairs, and abdominal surgeries.  Every AngelCare surgical patient is assigned a doctor and a veterinary technician during his/her stay.  Surgery is performed on a heated surgical table, and our patients are attended throughout the entire procedure and recovery by their technician.  Our technician maintains an anesthetic record for every surgery patient that details level and duration of anesthesia as well as any preoperative medications administered.   An advanced anesthetic monitoring machine also monitors your pet during anesthesia & surgery.  This device monitors & displays body temperature, heart rate, EKG, respiratory rate, and blood pressure among several other parameters.  Your pet’s technician or doctor will provide you with a written copy of your pet’s post- operative care instructions upon discharge from our hospital.  We will call you the day after surgery to check on your pet.
